Founded in 1992 by Dr. Binod Kumar Singh, with the support of prominent citizens of the region, the organization was established in memory of the distinguished freedom fighter Mahavir Singh (1907–1992). Inspired by his lifelong dedication to social progress and nation-building, the organization works to promote education and opportunity in rural communities. Today, its efforts support classrooms and educational initiatives across the Madhubani and Darbhanga districts of Bihar, helping children gain access to quality learning and a brighter future.1992 में डॉ. विनोद कुमार सिंह द्वारा, क्षेत्र के प्रबुद्ध नागरिकों के सहयोग से, प्रख्यात स्वतंत्रता सेनानी महावीर सिंह (1907–1992) की स्मृति में स्थापित। उनके सामाजिक प्रगति और राष्ट्र-निर्माण के प्रति आजीवन समर्पण से प्रेरित होकर, यह संस्था ग्रामीण समुदायों में शिक्षा और अवसर को बढ़ावा देने का कार्य करती है। आज इसके प्रयास बिहार के मधुबनी और दरभंगा ज़िलों में कक्षाओं और शैक्षणिक पहलों को सहयोग दे रहे हैं — बच्चों को गुणवत्तापूर्ण शिक्षा और उज्जवल भविष्य तक पहुँच प्रदान करते हुए।

Mahavir Singh was a freedom fighter, a lifelong social worker, and a political leader of Bihar. He believed independence meant nothing if the poorest farmer in the last mud-walled village still went without dignity.महावीर सिंह स्वतंत्रता सेनानी, आजीवन समाजसेवी और बिहार के एक राजनीतिक नेता थे। वे मानते थे कि जब तक अंतिम मिट्टी-दीवार वाले गाँव के सबसे ग़रीब किसान को सम्मान नहीं मिलता, तब तक स्वतंत्रता का कोई अर्थ नहीं।

— Mahavir Singh, 1979On 28 November 1992, his son Dr. Binod Kumar Singh founded this Trust to carry his father's vision forward. Three decades later, that work reaches eight Rural Knowledge Centers across Madhubani.28 नवंबर 1992 को उनके पुत्र डॉ. विनोद कुमार सिंह ने अपने पिता के सपनों को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए इस न्यास की स्थापना की। तीन दशकों बाद, उसी कार्य ने मधुबनी के आठ ग्रामीण ज्ञान केंद्रों तक अपनी पहुँच बनाई है।
